Grant Scams:  Is It Too Good To Be True?

Saying that business grants for women do not exist would not be right. But to say that they are available  as easily as many say would also not be right.

Way too many women are stung everyday by posers promising easy and free grant money to entrepreneurial women who wish to set up their own business and need some capital to take it to the higher level.

These online scammers take the truth and twist it so that people feel that they can get their hands on free government money, which doesn’t exist.

Recognizing Grant Scams

You can immediately recognize that someone is trying to scam you if they promise to get you thousands of dollars of government grant money for a small fee. No such government grant exists.

You can also recognize that someone is trying to scam you if they ask for an upfront payment with a money-back guarantee. Ask them if they would wait until the grant money is clears into your account.

Most of the times, scammers will pocket your money, send you a small package of 30-50 pages with some twisted information and disappear. The grant money never appears in your account AND when you contact these guys promising free grant money for your money-back, you find that there’s no such guarantee.

Yes, there are several privately distributed grants for women. But these grants are  smaller in amount, often between $500 and $10,000 and are distributed after a lot of scrutiny.

Play safe and don’t fall into the hands of people trying to make quick buck off you.
